Do you have a strong drive for delivering value to clients within market expansion and growth in a highly international context? Would you like to work in the intersection of business and diplomacy, interacting with executives and senior politicians? Take this opportunity to be part of Business Sweden's team in Tokyo.As senior project manager and team lead your main area of work is to lead teams of consultants working close with our clients. You are responsible for building strong client relationships, design and drive analytical work, secure that insights and recommendations are well underpinned and packaged in an easy to understand and concrete manner. As a senior project manager at Business Sweden, you interact with a wide range of stakeholders within client organizations as well as governmental agencies, academia, and Business Sweden colleagues around the world. You will work closely with the Country Manager in developing the team and the office.
The role as Senior Project Manager position encompasses a diverse range of assignments such as:
- Drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility including monitoring leads, developing pipeline, and developing project scope, proposals, and cost
- Lead, manage, and develop project team members to ensure successful project deliveries and team competency development
- Design and drive analytical work, secure that insights and recommendations are well underpinned and packaged in an easy to understand and concrete manner

- Proactively find new business opportunities, drive insight selling in the region and have an active role in developing our value propositions.
We assume that you have a keen interest in leadership issues and in developing as a leader in your role. We offer leadership training to provide you with the conditions to succeed in your leadership.
You will report to the Trade Commissioner and the position is based in Tokyo, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients globally, as required.

Formal requirements
- Master of Science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience from Management Consulting and Strategic Business Development
- Experience from leading and coaching consultant teams and prior experience from an international environment, proven track record of successfully leading multinational project teams and working cross-border
- Strong experience from one or more of our core consultancy service areas, including Growth Advisory, M&A and Supply Chain
- Proven track record in sales and the ability to independently drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility
- Relevant experiences are within client facing business development as well as management consulting projects focused on revenue growth. The position is not focused on digital transformation and restructuring projects.
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement, Swedish and / or Japanese will be strong merits.
