Description
Downtown Emergency Service Center seeks a Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen housing, shelter, and health services for people experiencing homelessness in King County. This role plans and executes projects from scope through implementation, managing timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables across clinical, outreach, and operations teams. The Project Manager supports trauma-informed, equity-centered, and data-driven practices, coordinates with community partners and funders, and ensures alignment with healthcare, privacy, and regulatory requirements while advancing DESC’s mission-driven, collaborative culture.Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects supporting DESC housing, shelter, and health programs
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with program and grant requirements
Track milestones, risks, and deliverables; maintain clear documentation and status reports
Facilitate meetings with clinical, outreach, operations, and administrative teams
Ensure projects follow trauma-informed, equity-centered, and client-focused practices
Collaborate with community partners, funders, and internal stakeholders
Use data to monitor outcomes and recommend process improvements
Support change management, staff training, and adoption of new workflows or systems
Ensure compliance with healthcare, privacy, and nonprofit regulations
Prepare presentations and reports for leadership and external stakeholders
Project management
Project planning and scheduling (Gantt, workplans)
Budget tracking and basic financial analysis
Risk management and issue tracking
Data analysis and reporting (Excel or similar)
Healthcare or behavioral health operations knowledge
Grant or program implementation
Stakeholder and vendor management
Process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma basics)
Project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet)

Agile or Scrum certification a plus
