Description
As a Project Manager reporting to the AVP of Client Services, you'll play a critical role in driving successful system implementations and upgrades for major clients across the APAC region, ensuring exceptional delivery and customer satisfaction.You'll thrive in this position if you're results-driven, collaborative, and bring a passion for capital markets technology to a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for system implementations and upgrades, ensuring on-time delivery and seamless launch execution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, controls, and governance frameworks that support scalability and efficiency.
- Partner with clients and internal customers across time zones to align on requirements, resolve issues, and deliver quality solutions.
- Lead project profitability across various engagement models (T&M, Fixed Price, Hybrid), ensuring baseline targets are met.
- Mentor and develop project teams, encouraging collaboration and excellence throughout all project phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in project management delivering capital markets solutions in onsite/offshore models.
- Strong ability to manage client relationships, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver results in complex environments.
- Clear communicator with experience managing multi-location teams in collaborative, matrixed environments.
- Proficiency in project management frameworks and tools such as Agile methodologies and delivery management platforms.
- Regular onsite work at client locations is a requirement of this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent).
- Experience implementing front or back office systems within banks, hedge funds, or asset managers.
- Background in business or systems analysis and solution design within capital markets.
This position will be located in Tokyo and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
This is a permanent, full-time role so candidates should have full working rights in Japan. To be eligible to apply, you must have Japanese citizenship or permanent residency status.
