Job DescriptionJob Details – IT Project Manager (Cybersecurity / Network Segmentation)
Location: Rochester, MN (Hybrid – ~50% onsite, flexibility required)
Job Type: Contract (May 2026 – May 2027)
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead execution of a large-scale network segmentation and cybersecurity initiative. This role will drive delivery across multiple technical and operational teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards, governance, and Zero Trust principles.
You will own project execution end-to-end, from planning through enforcement and transition to steady-state operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the MSS & Telecom Device Segmentation Project
- Own and manage the integrated project plan across all phases:
- Pre-enforcement
- Enforcement
- Validation
- Re-enforcement
- Operational transition
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including:
- Information Security
- Network Engineering
- Telecom
- HTM
- External vendors
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations
- Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder updates, and leadership reporting
- Ensure alignment with enterprise governance and segmentation standards
- Maintain detailed project documentation (milestones, metrics, decision logs)
- Track progress, KPIs, and enforcement outcomes
- Support transition to operational teams, including ownership and change management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 7+ years of IT project management experience
- (OR Master’s degree + 4+ years experience)
- Experience managing infrastructure or cybersecurity projects
- Strong knowledge of PMI methodologies (Process Groups & Knowledge Areas)
- Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network segmentation or enterprise networking concepts
- Background in cybersecurity or Zero Trust architecture
- PMP certification or equivalent experience
- Strong stakeholder management in regulated enterprise environments
- Ability to translate complex technical work into executive-level reporting
- Experience managing vendor and contractor teams
