Description
Amazon is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Office Manager (Paralegal/ Project Management) with a legal background to join the German (DE) Legal Department. The Office Manager will be a key member of the DE legal team, combining paralegal expertise with project management skills to ensure the smooth operation of the department and the effective delivery of legal and administrative projects.In this role, you will serve as the central coordination point for the DE Legal Department, managing day-to-day office operations while providing substantive paralegal support across legal litigation matters. You will liaise with external counsel and internal business and legal partners, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflows. You will oversee and drive cross-functional projects, and champion simplification, process improvements, innovation, and AI projects across the department.
The ideal candidate will combine strong paralegal skills with exceptional organizational and project management abilities, thriving in a fast-paced environment and working autonomously to execute multiple time-sensitive projects. You must be comfortable managing competing priorities, navigating ambiguity, and delivering results with minimal direction. This role demands flexibility, resourcefulness, and an innovative spirit.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a paralegal, in legal program management, or in legal case management
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- • \tBachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; qualification as paralegal (Rechtsanwalts-/ Notarfachangestellte/r) is considered equivalent.
- • \tPrevious work experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role with a multinational/Fortune 500 company or law firm.
- • \tStrong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to utilize relevant tools (Excel, Word, other internal tools)
- • \tExcellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- • \tStrong judgment, even in ambiguous situations, and discretion with confidential matters
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations or project management
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience in stakeholder management and communication management
- • \tExperience using and building AI tools to simplify workflows
