Description
As part of JPMC's Cybersecurity Technology & Controls PMO, our Project Manager will focus on leading small to medium sized projects as well as supporting larger scale programs and their supporting Program Managers. Additionally, you will help support our organization's project portfolio, governance and reporting functions. In this role you will have visibility to all of our priority initiatives as well as play a key role in how those initiatives are represented to the firm's Global Technology Leadership Team.This is a career differentiating opportunity aimed at not only giving you the visibility into the firm's priority Cybersecurity projects but also providing you with the opportunity to lead and support them. At JPMC, our project manager is in charge of maintaining, strong project governance, driving project level execution teams, managing a set of internal and external stakeholders to gain consensus across the organization, and representing the project with the established Executive oversight committees. This is your opportunity to get hands on with projects while helping our PMO reach the next level of maturity.
Job responsibilities
- Support the successful delivery of projects and programs across the portfolio.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, timelines, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and summary reports to communicate key metrics and progress.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to translate business and user requirements into clear project plans and deliverables.
- Create and refine presentations to communicate status, risks, and recommendations to various audiences.
- Facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting decisions, and tracking action items.
- Identify, track, and help mitigate project risks and issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., technology, operations, product) to ensure alignment and remove blockers.
- Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and standardizing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, controls, and reporting standards.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification with 3+ years of Experience leading technology projects or equivalent transferable experience with proven track record of success.
- Strong organizational skills, a passion for completing to do lists, and a strong work ethic.
- Hands on dashboard / data Summarization development using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, Domo, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with modern technology (Public Cloud, AI, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams
- Experience working in agile environment and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience working both independently and in a virtual, collaborative environment is essential.
- Project activity management experience using tools such as Monday, Jira, ServiceNow, and/or other related management tools.
- Strong storytelling and presentation development skills tailored for all levels of management.
