Summary

Primarily leading and managing site design, pre-construction, construction, and final handover activities; the Senior Project Manager of Data Center Construction reports to the Vice President of Project Delivery and is critical in ensuring projects are completed on-time, within budget, and of Prime quality. This role interacts with many departments and contractors including operations, designers, engineers, procurement, vendors, and facilities staff.

Responsibilities

• Represent Prime Data Centers for full lifecycle project delivery from pre-construction through handover to Prime's customers.
• Support the design process through site prepared information (Stage 3) to construction information for delivery (Stages 4-5).
• Ensure the highest safety and quality standards are maintained on site, and strict adherence to Prime's global standards and industry best practices.
• Establish and maintain relationships with supply chain partners.
• Review relevant information and safeguard compliance with Prime requirements and contractual obligations.
• Manage the process of procuring the General Contractor, subcontractor, and supplier orders.
• Collaborate with Prime's Commercial team to manage project budgets ensuring cost control measures are safeguarded and potential overruns are identified and communicated proactively.
• Maintain project schedules and contribute to implementing strategies to mitigate delays and optimize efficiency.
• Identify and report project risks as needed.
• Engage with the main contract design team to understand the design development and any changes that are presented.
• Ensure information is compliant with planning and permitting requirements.
• Work effectively as a member of management and take a "whole company" approach to managing day-to-day project issues.
• Produce regular progress reports to the client and customer teams.
• Guide and support the team through the German Building Permit and BImSch permit process.
• Liase with local municipalities and public authorities.
• Manage local community engagement with neighbors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fluent in German (Level C minimum) and English is required.
• 15+ years of relevant professional and project delivery experience on the client side or 8+ years of experience in data center construction.
• Client-side project management experience as a Project Manager or Director on projects 100m or greater.
• Experience in HOAI LPH3-8 management.
• Understanding of HBO requirements and processes.
• Familiarity of local German and EU construction legislation (DIN and ISO standards).
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction and capital projects, markets, customers, and supply chains in the region.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary Range 150-180k
