Successful candidates must be prepared to relocate to the specified job location in the job posting and will be employed directly under the hiring entity's contractual terms.This role will be part of the Investment & Asset Management Tower for Group Technology, responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and maintenance of all investment and asset management systems, applications, and platforms. The Tower manages the seamless transition of new systems or projects to steady-state operations and takes ownership of key business relationships, providing accurate metrics on uptime, issues, and resolutions.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager for the IT unit Business Solutions - Public Markets Back. A central focus of this role is SimCorp Dimension (SCD) - paramount application, not only for MEAG, but also for the entire MR Group, supporting the entire chain of investment operations, from front to back. As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for establishing stable, secure, compliant, and cost-efficient operations of SCD, defining and managing the product roadmap, and ensuring all enhancements and projects align with operational and governance standards.
You will also play a strategic role in transitioning SCD from an on-premises environment to a cloud-based setup, including establishing the future operating model, governance, and processes for SCD in the cloud.
This role involves managing a large and diverse stakeholder base, including senior business and IT executives, requiring excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills. In addition, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing the product budget, as well as steering a large, cross-functional product team to deliver initiatives efficiently and effectively.
Your Job
- Ensure stable and secure operations SCD, with a focus on reliability, performance, and compliance with operational standards.
- Define and manage the product roadmap in alignment with business and IT strategy.
- Play a key role in the transition of SCD to the cloud environment, establishing a sustainable and secure cloud operating model.
- Initiate and structure projects to deliver new capabilities, integrations, and enhancements to SCD and related systems.
- Plan, monitor, and manage the product budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and costs are controlled.
- Steer and lead a large, cross-functional product team, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and delivery of objectives.
- Collaborate closely with other project and product managers and business stakeholders to align deliverables across multiple projects and operations initiatives and ensure consistent standards.
- Manage communication and alignment across a diverse stakeholder group, including senior executives, ensuring transparency and engagement throughout all project phases.
- Ensure operational readiness for all project deliverables and handovers to production support.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies affecting SCD and related initiatives, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Engage with software vendors (including SimCorp), multiple service providers, and internal IT teams to ensure coordinated delivery and support.
- Drive continuous improvement in system operations, change management, and project execution practices.
Your Profile
- University degree preferably in computer science or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT project management and operations within the financial services or investment management sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale transitions, ideally including cloud migrations and operating model design.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including engagement with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in planning and managing product budgets within large IT programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and steer large, cross-functional product teams across multiple initiatives.
- Experience in managing software vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to SLAs.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining IT operational standards, governance frameworks, and change control processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SimCorp Dimension or similar front-to-back investment management platforms is a big plus.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Fluency in English and German
