Description
Key Areas of Responsibilities- Lead the Futures Clearing project, from initiation to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and document project requirements, ensuring alignment with CLSA Japan business objectives.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with key derivatives exchanges, clearing houses, system vendors and other external stakeholders based in Japan, facilitating the process of obtaining memberships and launching front/middle/back-office systems.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met during the project implementation process.
- Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying potential obstacles and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and provide regular status updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business administration) and minimum 5 years of equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the financial services industry, with experiences on clearing and derivatives.
- Strong knowledge of Japan-based derivatives exchanges and clearing houses, including their membership requirements and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliver results within defined timelines and budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential project risks and issues.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- In depth knowledge of Japan market rules and regulations
- Ability to work dynamically with multiple teams and deliver results
- Confidence and maturity in communicating with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Ability to work within tight timeframes to achieve objectives.
- Flexibility to respond to changing work demands.
- Demonstrates the ability to work as a member of a team or alone on projects.
- High level of attention to detail
- Native level Japanese, Business level English
