Who We're Looking For: We’re searching for creative, motivated, and team-oriented professionals who thrive in a collaborative studio setting. Whether you’re just starting your journey as a Landscape Architect Designer or ready to step into leadership as a Project Manager, CALA is the place to sharpen your skills, tackle exciting challenges, and have fun doing it.
Requirements
Designer Role: Plays a key role in supporting projects from concept through delivery. This position assists with design development, graphics, and renderings; helps prepare bid packages; and coordinates with vendors, manufacturers, and clients to keep projects moving forward. Designers are actively involved in presentations, site walks, and project meetings, while ensuring drawings, documents, and files meet office standards. Beyond project work, this role contributes to business development, professional growth, and office initiatives, bringing creativity, collaboration, and a positive attitude to every task. This role offers a starting salary of $50k-$60k/annually, with flexibility based on experience. Plus full time benefits.
- 2+ years of experience working under a licensed Landscape Architect
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Positive energy + eagerness to learn and grow
- Bonus skills that will make us extra excited: Land F/X, SketchUp, hand graphics
Project Manager Role: Leads projects from kickoff to completion, keeping teams on track with budgets, schedules, and quality goals. They coordinate consultants, guide and mentor staff, and serve as the main client contact to ensure great communication and service. Along the way, they prepare scopes, schedules, and bids, manage billing and reporting, and keep project files organized. They also help win new work through proposals and presentations, all while making sure the team’s work is accurate, efficient, and successful. This role offers a starting salary of $78k/annually, with flexibility based on experience. Plus full time benefits.
- 5+ years of experience in a Landscape Architecture office (Nevada experience preferred)
- Licensed LA (or actively working towards it, Nevada PLA a plus!)
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong time management, client and project team leadership skills
- Business development background is a plus!
- Presentation/Public speaking experience
- Positive, collaborative mindset
Requirements for either position: Along with the role-specific qualifications, here’s what we’re looking for in all new CALAfam members:
- Willing to relocate to Reno/Sparks by end of 2025
- If already in Nevada, regular travel to our Gold River, CA studio for early months
- Work hard, show up, and care about your craft
