Basic purpose of the job*
• Control the CapEx project which is a large, complex and strategic investment in Japan
throughout all project phases (feasibility study, basic design, technical planning, execution,
commissioning, qualification / validation and documented handover to users)
• The control tasks consist of monitoring project schedule, cost and resources and managing risks,
action items, other PMO tasks and reporting the project status to Project Managers.
• Support Project Managers in order to implement projects smoothly e.g. solving issues,
communication / negotiation with stakeholders and provide PM documents such as BI CapEx application.
• Managing external companies e.g. outsourced PM services such as meeting arrangement,
document control, review of PM documents.
Accountabilities*
1.Project management of highly complex investment projects with strategic corporate relevance
• Develop the entire project organization and participate in the composition of the Steering Committee
• Structure the entire reporting system
• Manage changes, risks and claims
• Early detection of any deviations from the project (costs, deadlines, quality) and taking corrective measures
2.Project Scoping: Development of alternative concepts for heterogeneous and highly complex tasks
with possibly conflicting project goals
• Create and prepare solutions/materials for decision making for senior management
• Scoping the project with the project team in cooperation with the client and in coordination with senior management
• Manage the entire execution processes for the investment project
3.EHS and quality management for all project phases in cooperation with the specialist trades
• Own organizational responsibility for the correct and full delegation of specialist
• Own responsibility for EHS and Quality for the transferred projects
4.Effective stakeholder management from scoping to handover to the user
Convincing representation and presentation of the project in senior management / UL
• Preparation of regular reports in the steering committee and the responsible investment committees
5.Set up, monitor and control of the project budget, schedule and quality
• Respective KPIs in budget
6.Excellent communication skills, good comprehension, diligence and negotiation skills
• Recipient-oriented communication in the internal relationship and negotiation skills
as well as assertiveness in the external relationship e.g. in negotiations and claim management
• Expand and maintain the network (also globally)
7.Setting up, leading, organizing and motivating large project teams with modern, cooperative management tools
• Adaptive and Cooperative management tools within the project team
• Active participation in culture change (mindset and thinking, people growth, learning orientation) in the project team
• Adopt and further develop project management tools
• Application and further development of agile methods in project management
8.Matrix responsibility / functional leadership for project team members and engineering members in particular

Latest GMP, EHS, Department SOP's, Good Engineering Practices, Controlling Guidelines,

Management and Economic Magnitude*
Comments:
Non line-manager position, but need to lead and instruct contractors and engineering companies
which leadership skills as line manager
Degree / Education*:Bachelor degree of above
Major / Focus*:Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil)/IT
Required Skills*
Special Skills
• High level of expertise and enough experiences of project management (> 5-10 years)
• Knowledge about production equipment & processes
• Well understanding of regulations (GMP, related Acts and Law, etc.)
• Excellent communication skill and strong negotiation skill
• High level of expertise for Engineering (min. bachelor's degree)
• Knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Attention to detail and accuracy
