Project Architect / Project Manager (Compensation 90k + TBD commensurate with experience)
nARCHITECTS, a Brooklyn-based office, is seeking an experienced Project Architect / Project Manager who will be the right, long-term fit for our creative and dynamic office environment for immediate start. We design civic and cultural buildings and spaces in the public realm, as well as multi-family housing and private houses. This body of work spans new buildings, transformations of existing buildings, and interiors. Since our founding in 1999, we have pursued commissions that we consider socially and/or environmentally progressive. Where feasible, we research and implement innovative construction techniques. We prefer to work locally and regionally, to better understand users and contexts, and to oversee construction. For all US-based projects, we also serve as Architect-of-Record and produce our own construction documentation.
Responsibilities:
- You will join our team to work on current and new exciting projects as a leader, or initially as a team member, depending on your level of experience.
- Develop design studies individually and collaboratively and ensure design continuity across all phases of design and construction.
- Lead the coordination of consultants’ work with knowledge of their requirements, aligning design goals with optimized performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulatory approval pathways.
- Actively contribute to the design culture and knowledge of the firm.
- Bring leadership to firm-wide initiatives, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements
- U.S. work visa & fluent in English.
- M. Arch or B. Arch degree.
- Licensure in a US State is a requirement.
- A strong personal and professional architecture portfolio.
- Min 7 years of post-graduate work experience (preferably majority in the US), including work on CD sets, consultant coordination, experience with codes and approvals, and CA experience.
- Advanced experience with Revit and Rhino. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, multi-tasking and communication skills.
- Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
