The Executive Project Manager oversees multiple drinking water projects and programs, assists with strategic direction, and ensures alignment with the goals of the District. This leadership-level position plays a key role in delivering safe, reliable drinking water to the community. This position involves the development and implementation of capital projects and programs, as well as supporting other departments with managing their projects. This position supervises the Engineering staff and coordinates their activities to achieve project goals and support the needs of the District.
A few of the functions of the role are:
- Work with the General Manager and Directors to develop a holistic, forward-thinking strategy that identifies the short- and long-term needs and actions necessary to manage the District’s water resources and infrastructure.
- Manage or assist in the oversight of the District’s existing programs related to water infrastructure, safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Responsible for developing and administering capital projects by applying knowledge of water systems, financing, and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to other Directors with their project needs, including helping to set milestones and assist with follow-through.
- Manage budgets, allocate resources, and monitor expenses to ensure projects and programs are completed within available funding.
- Lead and motivate teams, communicating goals and vision, and effectively collaborating with other Departments.
