Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil and site development projects from award through closeout. This role manages scheduling, budgeting, subcontractors, and field coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with road construction, utilities, sitework, and infrastructure projects and is comfortable managing multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction through completion
- Develop schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, superintendents, and field crews
- Track job costs, change orders, and cost-to-complete forecasts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, and municipalities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and contract requirements
Project Types Include
- Road construction & reconstruction
- Utility work (water mains, sewer, storm, conduits, box culverts)
- Site development (subdivisions, industrial parks)
- Commercial, residential, and institutional sitework
- Wetlands construction, retaining walls, paving, fine grading, parking lots
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil, site development, or utility construction
- Strong knowledge of job costing, scheduling, and contract documents
- Experience coordinating with municipalities and public agencies preferred
- Proficient with construction software and Microsoft Office
