Job Overview:
Pro Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support project management and field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with basic plan-reading skills who wants to grow into a higher-responsibility project role within a structured, fast-paced environment. You'll contribute to document control, preconstruction support, coordination, and scheduling to keep projects moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Support
Assist Project Managers and Coordinators with RFIs, submittals, and document control
Ensure timely and accurate submittal tracking and quality reviews
Join PMs on jobsite walks and provide support on installation and progress issues
Preconstruction Support
Perform takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar software
Help with subcontractor bid coverage and proposal development
Assist in reviewing plans/specs and identifying potential constructability issues
Field & Operations Coordination
Support project scheduling and subcontractor mobilization
Maintain accurate jobsite documentation including photos and reports
Track procurement and communicate material lead times
Communication & Documentation
Maintain project logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
Attend and document project meetings
Help develop standardized templates and project protocols
Qualifications:
1+ year of relevant construction or project support experience preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to read construction plans; CAD/drafting experience is a plus
Proactive problem-solver with a positive, teachable attitude
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Bluebeam or Procore is a bonus
