Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager to join our Banking Technology team in Tokyo. This

role is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project deliverables, requiring

collaboration with multiple global teams. The successful candidate will manage multiple workstreams

across various technology programs, driving successful outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include communicating project objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync

points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing

project issues and risks. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the stakeholders' expectations

in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.

• Overall technical lead having end-to-end responsibility of all technical aspects of a project,

including effort esmate and budget management, application design, and bank technology standard

governance, IT security management, SIT and UAT coordination, and release management

including pre-producon implementaon and post-producon applicaon support handover

• Work with Product and Operations teams to elicit, define, and prioritize project requirements

• Work with Solution the Architects to ensure solutions address the requirements while supporting

bank technology strategy and standards

• Work with vendors / in-house developers to translate solutions into system implementations and

manage to ensure on-time delivery

• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to management in a timely manner

• Address technical queries and issues arising from users, vendors, and developers

• Be a backup Project Manager for other projects as needed

• As a member of the Project Management team, when necessary, lead any activities Project

Managers are responsible for tasks such as Quality Assurance of the required project deliverables

(technical solutions, testing, and change management evidence, etc.), team meeng

minutes/presentations.

Essential requirements

• 5+ years of solid technical project management experience
• 3+ years of technical experience or a technical degree such as Computer Science
• Must speak/read/write Japanese at a naive level; speak/read/write English at a business level
• Experience with organizational requirements related to governance, project reporting, and ECM
• (Enterprise Change Management) process and risk management
• Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and coordinating efforts across multiple
• technology teams globally

Nice to have a background

• Technically strong in system design, technical solutions, test management, and infrastructure.e
• Prior experience implementing banking projects throughout the full software delivery life cycle
