Assistant Project Manager - Civil Construction
As our Assistant Project Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. In this role, you will assist the Project Manager and field leadership in managing schedules, budgets, documentation, and contract requirements, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, owners, inspectors, designers, and trade partners to facilitate communication, track progress, and resolve issues. You will support decisionmaking by maintaining accurate project documentation, monitoring field activities, assisting with cost and schedule controls, and helping ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
Experienced team members may take on increased responsibility for scopes of work, lead coordination efforts, support preconstruction activities, and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery and client satisfaction.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Working knowledge of construction means and methods, including earthwork, utilities, concrete, roadway, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to coordinate with field crews, project management teams, designers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Familiar with project management software, document control systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, fieldfocused environment with changing priorities and deadlines; willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
